Little Troop 5 is heading out bright and early on Sunday morning to Buffalo Trails Scout Ranch. It will be our 14th week of Scout camp as a troop. I have been to everyone but one, 2003 at Camp Blass in Arkansas. (See here for Troop 5 Summer Camp history)
That got me thinking on how many weeks of my life I have spent at Scout Camp. I created the list below. I only counted weeks that were actually scout camp and that I was a boy or being an adult leader of a scout troop. I did not count the week I spent at Philmont Scout Ranch for a fall adventure with some scouter buddies in 2000. I also did not count any high adventures Little Troop 5 has taken New Mexico or Arkansas that were not on scout property. After this year, I have spent a year of my life at Scout Camp.
