I have failed to mention we are sharing a campsite with Troop 43. As I have stated earlier, camp is crowded. Randy Cox, the Scoutmaster of Troop 43 and I have been scouting buddies from 1998. We met when we were both Order of the Arrow Chapter Advisors. This is the second year in a row we have shared a camp site at Worth Ranch with Troop 43. It is usually not my preference to share a campsite with another troop, but the Boys and Adults for 43 are good people. It is also helpful to have a different perspective on issues.
More importantly, you are reminded that the dysfunctional nature of your scout troop is not unique.
