Or the scoutmaster's bane. The trading post is a hub of activity all day long. It is full of candy, ice cream, and swirls. It is also air conditioned. Scout Camp is a wonderful opportunity for a boy to understand what “a Scout is Thrifty” means. It is also a first year scout magnet. It's sole purpose to gather the money the boy’s parents sent them to camp with. One of the Scoutmaster duties during the day is swing through the trading post and remind your scouts that they have somewhere else to be. By the end of summer camp the question "Can I go to the trading post" rings in your ear.
