Venus is the crossroads of cycling in my area of North
Texas. As you get farther and farther
away from civilization, places to stop, refuel and hydrate become very
important.
Venus just lends itself to this. The gas station at the corner of HWY 67 and
FM 157 is always nice to cyclist and wants our business. They have even set out a picnic table for us
to use.
On any given Saturday or holiday you can find a group of
cyclist around this table. Often times
we ride and meet up with fellow cyclist from all over the metroplex. I always seem to see someone I know that did
not start out on our ride.
