I have been requested to provide more action shots on the blog.   One of God’s most beautiful action shots is a Colorado Sunset.

Branding

It is not scout camp in the west unless you brand something.

Wildlife

The wildlife has been amazing.  The deer have no fear of the scouts.   I happened upon this Mama and her two fawns.

Horses far away

Drew and Cory went on a dinner ride on Wednesday night.  The staff takes them out for a ride and they come back and have a chuck wagon dinner of beef stew.   Watching them head back to the corral from far away was very picturesque.

Gun Range

I also may my journey down to the Gun, Rifle and Shotgun range.  It is clear that the Denver Area Council invested into this portion of the program

Horses

Camp Dobbins has the horsemanship merit badge.  The boys learn the basic of horsemanship.  For those that know me, I am not a fan of large animals.   As a scoutmaster it is important that I make sure that the boys have all the opportunities available to them that scouting offers.    I am just not a big fan of taking pictures of horses up close.
