Scoutmaster Meeting

One of the joys of being Scoutmaster is you get to go to meetings.  It is great to take a week off of work to miss a bunch of meetings so that you can go to more meetings.

Evan Voorn, long time Worth Ranch staffer, at times an ASM in Troop 5, and featured in previous blogs from past summers is the Program Director.     One of newest ASMs, August Riehle, due to his turning 18, August is the Neco Director
. 

Hurry up and wait

One of the lessons of Scout camp is marching all over camp to get the tour.  You have to stand around an wait almost everywhere.   We did not get to do our swim test on Sunday due to lighting in the area.  We did get the briefing.
 

One of our Troop Guides

Troop 5 own, Logan, was one of our Troop Guides.  The beauty of going to Worth Ranch is that at least one  5er has been on staff since 2003.  (2003 confirmed from Staff Pictures)

 

Greeted by Rain

We made it to Worth Ranch, aka "The Big Adventure" .  We were greeted by rain and the long line of cars to check in..

Whataburger

It is an official Troop 5 trip.  We stopped at Whataburger.
